LAST GAMES OF THE SEASON

LAST WEEKEND IN SPAIN


There were some very interesting games.
FC Barcelona, leader of the league tied 2-2 against Deportivo La Coruña.
Real Madrid won 7-3 against Getafe, Atletico Madrid tied 0-0 with Granada. Valencia defeated Almeria by 3 goals to 2. Celta Vigo defeated Espanyol by 3 goals to 2. Athletic Bilbao won 4-0 against Villareal.

Barcelona won the league and finished with 94 points, 2 points ahead of Real Madrid.

LAST WEEKEND IN ITALY


Juventus defeated Lazio by 3 goals to 1. Milan won 3-0 against Torino. Roma defeated Lazio in the capital "clasico" by 2 goals to 1. Genoa surprised everybody and defeated Inter Milan by 3 goals to 2. Sassuolo defeated Udinese by 1 goal to 0. 

Juventus won the league, 86 points in 37 games, with only 1 game left.

LAST WEEKEND IN GERMANY


Bayern Munich, the league champion defeated Mainz by 2 goals to 0. Hamburger won 2-0 against Schalke 04. Borussia Dortmund defeated Werder Bremen by 3 goals to 2. Stuttgart won 2-1 against Paderborn. Wolfsburg tied 2-2 with Koln. Augburg defeated Monchengladbach by 3 goals to 1.

Bayern Munich finished the league with 79 points, 10 points ahed of Wolfsburg.

LAST WEEKEND IN FRANCE


PSG, the league champion defeated Stade Reims by 3 goals to 2. Marseille won 3-0 against Bastia. Lyon defeated Rennes by 1 goal to 0. Monaco won 1-0 against Lorient. Nice defeated Toulouse by 3 goals to 2. Lille defeated Meltz by 4 goals to 1. Bordeaux won 2-1 against Montpellier.

PSG finished the league with 83 points. 8 points ahed of Lyon.

LAST WEEKEND IN ENGLAND

Chelsea, the league champion defeated Sunderland by 3 goals to 1. Manchester City won 2-0 against SouthHampton. Stoke City defeated Liverpool by 6 goals to 1. Manchester United tied 0-0 with Hull City. Newcastle defeated West Ham by 2 goals to 0. Arsenal won 4-1 against West Bromwich. Tottenham defeated Everton by 1 goal to 0.

UEFA Champions League ROAD TO BERLIN (QuarterFinals and SemiFinals)

QUARTER-FINALS: 1st Leg

Atletico Madrid tied at home against Real Madrid by 0 goals to 0. Atletico Madrid dominated Real Madrid during the first half, but after halftime, Real Madrid had plenty of opportunities to win the game. 

Juventus won at home against Monaco by 1 goal to 0. Arturo Vidal scored a penalty and gave Juventus the lead during the second half. 

PSG lost at home against Barcelona by 3 goals to 1. Neymar gave Barcelona an early lead. After halftime, Suarez extended the lead with two amazing goals. Mathieu ended up scoring an own goal with 8 minutes left in the game. 

Porto surprised everybody and won 3-1 at home against Bayern Munich. Ricardo Quaresma scored a penalty and gave Porto an early lead. Quorums extended the lead and Porto was up 2 goals to 0 with only 10 minutes played during the first half. Thiago Alcantara scored for Bayern Munich. After halftime, Jackson Martinez scored and extended the lead for Porto.

QUARTER-FINALS: 2nd Leg

Real Madrid won at home against Atletico Madrid by 1 goal to 0. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez scored with only 10 minutes left in the game. Real Madrid qualified to SemiFinals.

Monaco tied 0-0 at home with Juventus. Monaco dominated the first half but couldn't score. After halftime, Juventus dominated the game and qualified to SemiFinals.

Barcelona defeated PSG at home by 2 goals to 0. Neymar scored both goals for Barcelona and gave them the qualification to SemiFinals.


Bayern Munich surprised everybody and defeated Porto by 6 goals to 1. Bayern Munich scored 5 goals during the first half! Thiago Alcantara, Boateng, Lewandoski twice an Muller scored during the first half. After halftime, Jackson Martinez scored for the away team. Xavi Alonso scored with only ten minutes remaining in the game. Bayern qualified to SemiFinals by defeating Porto on aggregate by 7 goals to 4.

SEMI-FINALS: 1st Leg

Juventus won at home against Real Madrid by 2 goals to 1. Alvaro Morata scored and gave Juventus an early advantage. Cristiano Ronald tied the game before halftime. Carlos Tevez scored a penalty and gave Juventus the lead and a great result for Juve going to Madrid with high chances of reaching the Finals.

Barcelona won at home against Bayern Munich by 3 goals to 0. Lionel Messi scored two beautiful goals and assisted Neymar on the 3rd goal. Barcelona had a great result and high chances of reaching the finals.

SEMI-FINALS:1st Leg

Real Madrid tied 1-1 at home with Juventus. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty and gave Madrid an early lead before halftime. After halftime, Alvaro Morata tied the game. Real Madrid couldn't score. Juventus ended up qualifying to the UEFA Champions League Finals in Berlin.

Bayern Munich won 3-2 at home against FC Barcelona. Banta scored a header and gave Bayern an early lead. Neymar scored two goals and gave Barca the lead before halftime. During the second half, Lewandowski and Muller scored for Bayern Munich. Barcelona ended up qualifying to the UEFA Champions League Finals.

UEFA Champions League ROAD TO BERLIN (Round of 16)

ROUND OF 16: 1st LEG

PSG tied 1-1 at home against Chelsea, PSG dominated the bulk of the chances but José Mourinho (Chelsea’s Manager) will reflect on a job well done away from home, after Branislav Ivanović gave Chelsea the lead with a header. But during the second half, Edinson Cavani tied the game with another header. 

Shakhtar Donetsk tied 0-0 at home against Bayern Munich, there were few clear opportunities on the night and with Bayern playing over half the second half with ten men, they will no doubt be happy not to have lost.

Schalke 04 lost at home against Real Madrid by 2 goals to 0. In Germany, Real Madrid took the advantage in the first leg. Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo were the difference between the teams.

Basel tied 1-1 at home with Porto, Derlis Gonzalez gave the hosts an early advantage on the game, but during the second half, Danilo scored a penalty for Porto.

Manchester City lost at home against FC Barcelona by 2 goals to 1. Two goals from Luis Suárez have given Barcelona the advantage, despite Sergio Agüero's consolation strike.

Juventus won 2-1 against Borussia Dortmund, Carlos Tevez gave the hosts an early advantage, but only 5 minutes later, Marco Reus tied the game. At the end of the first half, Alvaro Morata gave Juventus the advantage. The second half was very boring with no goals.

Arsenal lost 3-1 at home against Monaco, Kondogbia gave Monaco the lead before halftime, Berbatov extended the lead during the second half. On aggregate time, Chamberlain scored for Arsenal, but on the last minute of the game, Ferreira-Carrasco gave Monaco a great lead on the road.

Bayer Leverkusen won 1-0 at home against Atletico Madrid. 
A deserved win for Leverkusen, who managed to dominate Atletico’s amazing ball movement.

ROUND OF 16: 2nd Leg

Chelsea tied 2-2 at home with PSG. An incredible night for PSG, they were down to ten men after Zlatan Ibrahimovic received a red card during the first half. Cahill gave Chelsea the advantage with only 9 minutes remaining, but David Luiz tied the game for PSG with 4 minutes left. During the extra time, Hazard scored a penalty and gave Chelsea the advantage but with only 5 minutes left, Thiago Silva tied the game and gave PSG the qualification to QuarterFinals by leading on away goals.

Bayern Munich defeated Shakhtar Donets by 7 goals to 0! Muller scored a penalty and gave Bayern an early advantage, which was extended by a goal from Boating before halftime. Bayern Munich were up 2-0 during halftime, but at the second half, they scored 5 goals with goals from Ribery, Muller again, Basturber, Lewandowski and Gotze.

Real Madrid lost 4-3 at home against Schalke 04 but advanced to the QuarterFinals. Fuchs gave the away team an early advantage, but only 5 minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo tied the game. Huntelaar gave the away team their second lead of the game but just before halftime, Cristiano Ronaldo scored again. Karim Benzema scored for Real Madrid giving them a 3-2 lead, but then Sane tied the game for Schalke and with only 10 minutes left on the on the game Huntelaar scored again.

Porto won at home against Basel by 4 goals to 0.  Brahimi gave Porto an early advantage on the game. Basel kept trying to tie the game with some opportunities before halftime. But during the second half, Porto scored 3 goals and qualified to QuarterFinals. Herrera, Casemiro and Aboubakar scored the remaining goals for Porto.

Barcelona won 1-0 at home against Manchester City. Barcelona dominated the entire game and qualified to QuarterFinals. Rakitic gave the hosts the lead before halftime.

Borussia Dortmund lost at home against Juventus by 3 goals to 0. Carlos Tevez gave the away team an early advantage during the first half. After halftime, Alvaro Morata and another goal from Tevez gave Juventus the qualification to QuarterFinals.

Monaco lost at home against Arsenal by 2 goals to 0 but qualified to QuarterFinals. Giroud gave the away team the advantage before halftime and during the second half, Aaron Ramsey extended the lead. Monaco qualified because they won on away goals.

Atletico Madrid tied 1-1 at home with Bayer Leverkusen and defined the series with penalties shoot-out. Atletico Madrid won 3-2 on the penalties and qualified to QuarterFinals.

European Leagues Champions (Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich)

LAST WEEKEND IN SPAIN


There were some very interesting games.
FC Barcelona, leader of the league won 8-0 against Cordoba.
Real Madrid won 3-2 against Sevilla, Atletico Madrid tied 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao and Valencia defeated Eibar by 3 goals to 1.
Barcelona is ahead of Real Madrid by two points with 9 points left to play.

Barcelona has 3 games left, at home against Real Sociedad, on the road against Atletico Madrid and at home against Deportivo La Coruña.
Real Madrid has 3 games left, at home against Valencia, on the road against Espanyol, and at home against Getafe.

LAST WEEKEND IN ITALY


Juventus won 1-0 against Sampdoria and became the Italian League Champion. Napoli defeated Milan by 3 goals to 0. Lazio tied 1-1 with Atalanta. Another boring game, Inter tied 0-0 with Chievo. Roma won 2-0 against Genoa and made the difference between Lazio of 1 point.

LAST WEEKEND IN GERMANY


Bayern Munich, the German League Champion, lost 2-0 against Bayer Leverkusen. Borussia Dortmund tied 1-1 with Hoffenheim. Schalke 04 defeated Stuttgart by 3 goals to 2. 
Werder Bremen defeated Eintracht Frankfurt by 1 goal to 0. 


LAST WEEKEND IN FRANCE


The leader PSG defeated Nantes by 2 goals to 0. Monaco won 4-1 against Toulouse. Lyon defeated Evian by 2 goals to 0. Marseille won 2-0 against Metz. Bordeaux tied 0-0 with Lorient while Nice tied 1-1 with Caen.
PSG is now ahead on the Ligue1 with only 9 points left to play.
PSG has 3 games left, at home against Guingamp, on the road against Montpellier, and at home against Reims.
Lyon has 3 games left, on the road against Caen, at home against Bordeaux, and on the road against Rennes.


LAST WEEKEND IN ENGLAND


Chelsea won 1-0 against Crystal Palace and became the Barclays Premier League Champion. Manchester City won 1-0 against Tottenham. Manchester United lost 1-0 against West Bromwich.
Arsenal defeated Hull City by 3 goals to 1. Liverpool won 2-1 against QPR.

Copa Libertadores

Last week in South America, there were lots of games, the group stages of the Copa Libertadores had their last day with a lot of excitement and unbelievable scores.

In Group 1, Atletico Mineiro from Brazil defeated the Chileans Colo-Colo by a score of 2 goals to 0 and Independiente Santa Fe from Colombia won 3-1 against Mexican Atlas.

In Group 2, San Lorenzo from Argentina lost 1-0 against Danubio from Uruguay, while San Pablo won the "Brazilian Teams Game" against Corinthians by 2 goals to 0.

In Group 3, Cruzeiro from Brasil defeated Universitario Sucre from Peru, while Mineros from Venezuela won 3-0 against Argentinian Huracan.

In Group 4, Emelec from Ecuador won 2-0 against Universidad De Chile, while Brazilian Inter defeated The Strongest from Bolivia by 1 goal to 0.

In Group 5, Zamora from Venezuela lost 3-0 against Uruguayan Wanderers, while Boca Juniors from Argentina defeated Palestino from Chile by 2 goals to 0.

In Group 6, RiBer Plate from Argentina defeated San Jose from Peru by 3 goals to 0, while Juan Aurich from Peru lost 5-4! against Mexican Tigres.

In Group 7, Atletico Nacional from Colombia defeated Libertad from Paraguay by 4 goals to 0!
On the same group, Estudiantes from Argentina defeated Barcelona from Ecuador by 2 goals to 0.

In Group 8, Sporting Cristal from Peru tied 1-1 with Paraguayan Guarani, while Racing from Argentina defeated Tachira from Venezuela by 3 goals to 2.

European Leagues Games 32

Last weekend in Spain there were some very interesting games.
FC Barcelona, leader of the league won 2-0 against Valencia.
Real Madrid won 3-1 against Malaga,  Atletico Madrid defeated Deportivo 2-1 and Sevilla tied 1-1 against Granada and left a huge opportunity of reaching the Cup qualifications slip away.

In Italy, there were some interesting games that almost decided the league, the leader Juventus won 2-0 against Lazio and made their lead even bigger.
Another interesting games, Inter Milan tied 0-0 against their rivals Milan. Roma tied 1-1 with Atalanta in a disappointing game. Napoli took advantage of Roma’s draw and defeated Cagliari by 3 goals to 0.

In Germany, Bayern Munich won 2-0 against Hoffenheim. Borussia Dortmund won against Paderborn, Stuttgart lost 2-1 against Augsburg in a very disappointing game. Bayer Leverkusen won 4-0 against Hannover. 

In France, the leader PSG defeated Nice by 3 goals to 1. Marseille lost 1-0 against Nantes. Monaco tied 1-1 with Rennes, Bordeaux lost 2-0 with Lille, Lyon tied 2-2 with St.Etienne and reached their rivals PSG on the table.

In England, the leader Chelsea defeated their rivals Manchester United by 1 goal to 0. Manchester City won 2-0 against West Ham United. Tottenham defeated Newcastle United by 3 goals to 1.

European Leagues

Last Week in Spain, there were very important games, games that could decide the League Champion, the qualifications for the European Cup.
FC Barcelona, leader of the league by 4 points tied 2-2 against Sevilla FC and reached a 5 points difference with their Rivals, Real Madrid.
Real Madrid took advantage of Barcelona's draw and won 3-0 against Elbar, with Real Madrid's win, Barcelona is now ahead by only 2 points.
Two other interesting games,  Atletico Madrid 2- Malaga 2 and Valencia 3- Levante 0, made the league even more interesting.

In Italy, there were some interesting games that made the league even more interesting. The leader Juventus lost 1-0 against Parma with only two starters on the team.
Another interesting games, Napoli won 3-0 against Fiorentina, AC Milan tied 1-1 against Sampdoria, Lazio won 4-0 against Empoli. Inter reached the Champions League qualification stage by defeating Verona by 3 goals to 0. 

In Germany, Bayern Munich defeated Frankfurt by 3-0 and extended their lead over all of their opponents. Borussia Dortmund lost 3-1 against Borussia Moglendbach. Stuttgart defeated Werder Bremen 3 to 2 while FSV Mainz lost against Bayern Leverkusen.

In France, PSG defeated Marseille by 3-2, Guingamp lost 3-1 against Lyon. Bordeaux defeated Lens by 2-1. Another two crucial games for the Champions League qualifications, Monaco and St.Etienne tied 1-1 while Nice and Evian also tied 2-2.

Let's finish with one of the most interesting leagues around Europe, the English Barclays Premier League, where the leader Chelsea defeated QPR by 1 to 0.
Arsenal defeated Burnley 1 to 0 and made the difference with the leader even shorter.
Newcastle lost 2-0 against Liverpool and reached the Champions League qualification.
Let's finish today's entry by talking about the derby of Manchester between Manchester City and Manchester United.
Manchester City took an early advantage by a surprising goal by Aguero, but then Manchester United made a huge comeback and finished by winning 4 to 2.

Hello, my name is Tobias Anderson, I'm 16 years old, I'm from Argentina.

As you know, in Europe there are many competitive leagues, as well as the Liga BBVA, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
In America, there are a lot of soccer leagues, like the Argentinian league, the Uruguayan league, the Chilean league, the Colombian League, the Mexican league, the MLS, the Brazilian league, Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
